Marrakesh: and a tale of lucky, lucky

Some fun things are happening here:

* So excited to be giving tips on some favorite Marrakesh places in the November issue of Travel & Leisure Magazine!

 

*I was lucky enough to spend the day shopping in Marrakesh with the uber-talented Lily Cooper (also known as Lily Allen).  She bought some gorgeous things including Moroccan carpets, Moroccan lanterns, Moroccan poufs, embroideries, and more.  (I love her album and this song of hers, in particular.)

* It's so fun to have the amazing guitarist of the Dandy Warhols staying with us at Peacock Pavilions (along with his super cool wife, Michelle).  I'm crazy about this provocative song of theirs and their album.  

* My Dad, Joel Montague, has donated one of his outsider art collections to the Fowler Museum.  It will be on exhibit from December 2, 2012–March 31, 2013.  If you're in LA, please stop by. I'm so proud of him!

London: and a tale of the Tory Burch flagship store

While I was in London on Blogtour, I popped into the Tory Burch flagship store to take a few notes for a project and pick up a few goodies.  

What a very glamorous locale.  

I loved the brass detailing throughout & hot shots of color!

The beautiful styling with orchids...

ikat walls...

orange lacquer tables and a sublime brass stairway.

All a perfect backdrop for a sea of Tory Burch blues and greens....

and pretty hues and pretty prints....

Why even boyfriends waiting for girlfriends in dressingrooms were dapper....

as was the {terribly charming} store manager....

If you're in London, most definitely worth a trip......

London: a tale of Heart & Home & so much more

Dear friends,

Next week at this time I will be in London!  I'm going on BlogTour to check out Decorex and many other lovely design-y events.  This is all thanks to the amazing Modenus and her group of very generous sponsors. (More on that later.)

I can't tell you how excited I am about all of this.  You might find me more commonly heading  off to Afghanistan, Mali, Egypt or Yemen for work.  But London.....?  Not so often.  

One of the events I am most chuffed about takes place in London before Blogtour even begins and is being held by the *adorable* team behind Heart Home Magazine.  The Magazine is turning 1 (such an accomplishment) and it's time to celebrate!  I'll be speaking and would love to see you there.  I always get ridiculously happy to connect with people in real life, and so if you could make it, I'd be thrilled.
